The Challenge

Aegate’s website had been developed without much thought into their audience, design, style or how effective the user experience might be. As a result, it carried too much information, which didn’t reflect the nature of the B2B marketplace they operated in, or the high quality of their service solutions.

Over time, the platform had become inflexible and the various language options had become dated and inaccurate, and it was clear that pages had been published before any final checks had been run.

The biggest problem was the most important one: the home page was crammed with information, but gave no incentive for visitors to go further into the site.

Our dedicated team designed a new template and re-purposed existing content so it fitted well within the site. We chose a contemporary design, leading Aegate’s target audience through the site via a well organised, user friendly customer journey.

Overall, the design was revised to provide a fresh look and feel, and we provided guidance on how much content should be published to protect the core principles of the design and also rank highly for search engine optimisation.
