At OnBrand, we like to be a bit different. Not many marketing agencies live in a high street shop – a decision we took to break the mould and make marketing more accessible. Being part of the community in St Albans also means we feel a responsibility and being a retailer means we need to get our message out there in different ways too.
Our latest ‘Banksy-inspired’ window, comes as long standing works to our basement are being done, taking advantage of us working from home, to make all the dust and decorating whilst we weren’t there. We’re installing a gym, meeting rooms, shower, toilet and breakout areas – watch this space.
With a little bit of time on our hands, we decided to create a visual art installation to keep St Albans shoppers amused and entertained. And to champion local talent, we signed up a 16 year old schoolboy, in the St Albans area, who is an up and coming artist, and overall amazing talent. His name is Ilan Galkoff and we hope you remember his name, and enjoyed his talent. We hope that your social chatter, comments, pics and noise will give him a much deserved boost and profile for his career in the making @ilangraphics is his insta. Please follow and support him.
We caused a bit of a stir on Social Media
And this isn’t the first time we’ve been up to some marketing mischief….
During winter, we set about using our high footfall position to benefit others, and launched the first contactless payment window, umbrella-ing 5 local homeless charities, enabling local shoppers to simply tap and give £3 to homelessness charities.
Last year, we created a total makeover for Halloween with spooky graphics, a giant 8ft spider, and worked the whole day in fancy dress with an open door policy.
