Banish Bad Marketing: The Marketing Faithful Have Arrived

This Halloween, our digital marketing agency in St Albans has gone full Traitors. If you’ve walked down Victoria Street lately, you’ll have spotted our window: candles, ravens, a mysterious hooded figure, our whole team in gold frames, and a lifesize Claudia guarding the door.

Welcome to The Marketing Faithful, our Halloween campaign with one simple mission: to banish bad marketing. Wherever it’s hiding.

The bad habits holding your marketing back

Here’s the uncomfortable truth: most businesses have a traitor or two lurking in their marketing. Not people (we’d never accuse your Steve from accounts). Habits. Sneaky habits that murder your budget, smile at you across the round table and quietly sabotage your growth.

You might recognise a few of these suspects:

  • The Boost Button Bandit. Clicks “boost post” on Meta, crosses fingers, calls it a strategy.
  • The Ghost Website. Looked lovely in 2019. Hasn’t been seen or updated since. Loads slower than a Traitors reveal.
  • The Google Ads Gambler. Broad match, no negatives, no idea where the money went.
  • The SEO Recluse. Locked in a turret years ago. Nobody’s checked on it.
  • The One Night Only Event. Great on the day. Nobody follows up. Leads vanish into the mist.
  • The Lookalike Creative. Could be anyone’s brand. Which is exactly the problem.
  • The Strategy Shapeshifter. Changes direction every quarter and never says why.

If any of those made you wince, don’t panic. Every traitor can be banished.

Every channel, one team

Those eighteen moody portraits in our window? That’s us. The Marketing Faithful. We may look like we’re about to deliver a devastating speech at the round table, but we promise we’re far friendlier in real life.

Between us, we’ve got every corner of the castle covered:

  • Strategy to give the whole plan a backbone, so nothing’s left to guesswork.
  • Creative that actually looks like you, not a template with a fresh coat of paint.
  • Meta campaigns built on targeting and testing, not crossed fingers.
  • Google Ads that spend your budget like it’s our own (with negative keywords and everything).
  • SEO let out of the turret and put back to work.
  • Websites that load fast, convert well and don’t haunt your customers.
  • Events that keep the conversation going long after the candles are blown out.
  • OnBrand Radio that fills shopping centres and stores with the right music and messages, with not a creepy organ in sight.

Here’s the bit that matters most: none of these work alone. The real magic happens when every channel sits at the same table, pulling in the same direction. Clear thinking. Joined up growth. That’s how you banish bad marketing for good.

One campaign, every channel

Here’s a little secret (not a traitorous one, we promise). The Marketing Faithful isn’t just a Halloween bit of fun. It’s campaign marketing in action, and it’s exactly what we do for clients.

Sometimes a business needs a one off campaign: a seasonal moment, a product launch, an event, an anniversary, or simply a quiet quarter that needs a nudge. Our digital marketing campaigns take one big idea and roll it out everywhere your customers are, so every touchpoint tells the same story.

Here’s how this one shows up:

  • The window. Our St Albans office has been transformed into a candlelit castle, complete with the team in gold frames and Claudia on guard.
  • Email signatures. Every email the team sends carries the campaign banner, quietly spreading the word with every reply.
  • Posts across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, from a carousel of bad marketing habits to a reel revealing the window.
  • This blog. The story behind the campaign, all in one place.
  • PPC ads. Google and Meta ads putting the campaign in front of the right people across the UK and driving them here.
  • Google Business Profile. So local searchers see it too.

For shopping centres, retailers and other commercial spaces, a campaign doesn’t have to stop at the screen. OnBrand Radio, our in store music and messaging service, pairs curated playlists with professionally produced announcements and seasonal messages, so your campaign can be heard as well as seen.

Christmas, Black Friday, a summer sale or a big birthday: if there’s a moment worth making noise about, we’ll build a campaign around it.

Clear advice, wherever you are in the UK

The hooded figure is just for show. Working with us is refreshingly straightforward: honest advice, clear reporting and a team who’ll tell you straight if something isn’t working.

We may be a marketing agency based in St Albans, but we work with businesses right across the UK. So wherever you are, if you suspect there’s a traitor hiding in your marketing, or you’ve got a moment that deserves its own campaign, get in touch online or give us a call. And once the window is unveiled, if you’re passing through, pop by Victoria Street to say hello to Claudia.

Just don’t try anything sneaky. We’ll set Claudia on you.
