YouTube Shorts Are Getting Longer!

 

Now, creators can share videos up to 3 minutes long—a big increase from the previous 60-second cap. This change, inspired by popular demand, gives you more room to get creative, dive deeper into your stories, and engage your audience like never before.

With the new 3-minute limit, you can add extra details to tutorials, take your storytelling up a notch, or explore new content ideas like mini-documentaries and in-depth reviews. Whether you’re a pro or just getting started, the longer format opens up endless possibilities.

As Todd Sherman, Director of Product Management for YouTube Shorts, puts it, “This was a top-requested feature by creators, so we’re excited to make storytelling on Shorts more immersive.”
