Job Description

Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Development, your work will be an important component in the overall marketing piece that account directors and the wider marketing team may be leading in improving client’s messaging and their brand development. You will be working as part of a team on various projects for them, but will also be required to manage your own workload providing updates to relevant team members.

As an experienced Full Stack developer, you will be highly competent in all aspects of web site and application build & delivery, ensuring good reporting and timely execution of all tasks. You will also be leading the continued development of our own in-house technologies for supporting our client’s audio playlist needs and social post integrations which build up a core part of the business.

Role Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of 2 Onbrand custom built In-House development projects
  • Take briefs from the wider team and turn them into workflow for your department
  • Escalate and report to wider stakeholders on a regular basis, internally and from time to time as needed externally.
  • Provide input and thinking into what improved web experiences and executions look like
  • Attend meetings with account directors, client relationship leads and clients to discuss their needs and progress on their projects as needed.
  • Build and develop websites in WordPress from initial designs
  • Maintain and update websites day-to-day – (both plug-ins and content updates)
  • Creating and manage Mailchimp emails/newsletters
  • Set up basic SEO for all new sites
  • Support OnBrand internal comms as needed with creation of marketing materials
  • Identify and fix bugs with HTML / CSS
  • Identify issues before they become issues, report, and escalate effectively

Role Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience as a Web Developer ideally in an agency
  • You will have worked with UX & UI designers before, and other web agencies with exposure to intuitive UX solutions, wireframes / sitemaps and user journeys
  • You will provide a weekly report of work achieved in the week.
  • Have a good understanding of wider marketing goals
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to self-manage time and output.
  • Managing deadlines and customer needs
  • Ensure all work adheres to brand identity & guidelines.
  • Ability to learn and apply new knowledge and skills quickly, in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be dependable, positive, and open-minded, and be able to clearly communicate both verbally and visually.
  • Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent inter-personal / communication skills with a positive and collaborative attitude

Technical Skills (min 3 years)

  • 3 years+ expertise in WordPress & other CMS.
  • Knowledge of Flutter & Dart.
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., PHP, Java, Dart, Koitlin, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js).
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design.
  • Experience of working with various SDKs and APIs, FB, Twitter etc. As well as creating custom APIs.
  • Knowledge of working with Linux CLI.
  • Knowledge of working with Mailchimp.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop / Illustrator.
  • Ability to use a wide range of WordPress plugins and builders.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics & Search Console.
