The role spans 3 varied and interesting areas:
The Super Shopper
Are you a savvy and passionate shopper, hunting coupons, vouchers and deals, or simply a mad shopaholic?
If so, this could just be the dream ticket. You’ll spend half your week shopping – signing up to retailer newsletters, engaging head offices and craving those all too important deals to miss and creating 300 chatty, informal and fun social media and web posts a month. Short, punchy and with great pics driven to excite and motivate shoppers. Topping this off, you’ll need to write two shopper blog articles a month too. Want to see what we mean? Ever phoned a company, been spoken to by a machine, given menus upon menus, made to wait, and then been told you’re in the wrong department and need transferring? Too often right? Well this exactly the sort of thing we’re crusading against.
You’re going to need creative thought, great writing skills, an understanding of customer journeys and have the ability to deliver and shape tone of voice and copy style, specifically to the channels we may work on. You’ll end up analysing behaviour and problem solving – not only from the front end but in line with the operational goals behind the scenes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve retention, loyalty and advocacy.
You’ll be involved from pitch, concept, planning and delivery stages and some ongoing project management with some key relationships and working with our voice, design and music teams. Occasional travel to clients will be necessary.
When we do great work, we case study it, write it up, share it, tell the world! We’re going to need our own stall set out, so we’re going to need all whole range of copy from our blog, case studies, newsletters, client copy, web pages and print ads covered. Your job is to help build the profile and credibility of the company with carefully and beautifully crafted words. All of which needs to fit into a marketing strategy, is consistently deployed across all channels and managed with you and our marketing account manager.
- Have strong and established copywriting experience
- A proven track record in some aspect of brand marketing, comms or consumer media
- Good communication and collaborative skills, both visual and verbal
- A real ability to interpret a client’s requirements
- Have lots of passion and energy
- Know a thing or two about customer experience and journey principles
- Been an established shopaholic (no credit card proof required!)
- Love people and writing
You might even:
- Have worked in a customer experience or marketing team
- Have worked in PR or retail
- Have a background in marketing/customer contact strategies
- Have a degree
